It was just a cool transformation that he chose not to beat Fat Buu, made Super Buu stronger, and couldn’t go all out against Kid Buu with because he wanted Vegeta to have a turn. At the very least, Goku should’ve used it for the final push of the Spirit Bomb instead of regular Super Saiyan. Plus it didn’t really progress the story with Future Trunks since that was just a sparring match.

It was less that Goku couldn't maintain it, but more that he had just learned it and needed to get his body used to it, just like with ultra instinct. Even with base Super Saiyan, it took the year of training in the time chamber to get to the point he could maintain it without it sucking stamina

​@YayaAniNbek that's only cause the anime is written mostly by toei and they can't write. super saiyan blue and especially stacked with kaioken should clearly drain way more stamina than ss3, yet goku spams the latter. ss3 only had stamina drain because it was the strongest form at the time. ssj1 had stamina drain when IT was the strongest form. blue had stamina drain, which disappeared once MUI arrived, and instead MUI's accuracy went down over time. only the the strongest form is nerfed. its the same thing with ichigo's bankai/mask, naruto's forms, luffy's gears. only the strongest forms have drawbacks. once an even stronger form is achieved, the previous form's drawbacks are removed since they aren't as op anymore. in other words, now that ss3 ISN'T the strongest form, there is no reason for it to have a nerf.

Honestly, if you swapped the first and second Tamagami challenges, the progression makes more sense. 3rd world is for lesser demons so they do a stupid kiddy riddle, 2nd world is higher up so they need the reflexes to prove their worth, and then 1st world is high society so you need to be smart to get the Dragon Ball. And in typing that out, it almost feels like this is to test who can truly understand the weight of the wish: You must be logical (Snakes eat rodents, not pastries), observant (Catch the ball being discarded), and intelligent (The math problem).....Good thing that Goku wasn't doing every single one otherwise he'd be screwed at the very end XD

I wonder how strong Neva truly is. The fact that he created 3 SSJ level beings makes me believe he’s the strongest one in the demon realm. Even Panzy hinted that with those type of creations he can easily take down King Gomah and his army, but he’s a pacifist. I hope we get more lore on him because he’s a very mysterious character. Majin Duu’s ability to adapt in combat reminds me so much like Fat/Good Buu and that’s kind of terrifying. Kuu giving him the answer to the question already lets me know that these two are going to be a brain and brawn duo, and I wonder how they will stack up against Goku and Vegeta who are both capable of going SSJ3.

Neva said in the last episode that the Tamagami were created to prevent the Dragon Balls from being misused ever again. I think the point of the challenges is to prove whether or not your worthy. For 3's challenge, you have to be patient and observant. For 2's challenge you have to be able to think outside the box and use open minded logic. For 1's challenge, you have to be calm and undaunted. If strength was the only test for the Dragon Balls, it would probably be some meathead who'd use them selfishly or make a wish like Oolong's that's just a waste. That's how I see it anyway.

As someone who's had Vegeta as their number 2 fave Dragon Ball character for all these years (right after Gohan)... thank you Toriyama for this final gift! 💙 SSJ3 Prince is for sure the highlight of the episode, BUT I want to spend some time yapping about Kuu and Duu. We know he couldn't do it during the Buu saga at least, since he straight up complains to Goku when they meet again, asking him what the heck Super Saiyan 3 is. Plus Vegeta only let Babidi control him to power up, which would be nonsense if, to his knowledge, he already had a form that was higher than Gokus SSJ2. So at the very least during the Buu saga, no Vegeta simply didn't have this form. He learned it after the Buu saga. And later on, obviously God and Blue are way stronger. So really the only plothole this creates is him not going SSJ3 against Beerus when he slapped Bulma.

What Sheera's thinking about is the first transformation where Goku took a lot of time to turn into Super Saiyan 3 against Buu and Babidi. But Goku actually did that to buy time for Trunks to find the Dragon Radar. In reality, Goku can transform into Super Saiyan 3 just as fast as any other form; it's just too stressful on the body.

@swampfire9382 He tossed Cell a senzu bean in SSJ so Gohan could fight him instead, he held back against Majin Vegeta in SSJ2 even though he knew it would make Majin Buu revive because he didn't want to hurt Vegetas feelings, and he let Buu win in SSJ3 because he wanted the kids to protect the planet instead of him, later stating that he COULD have defeated Fat Buu right there but didn't want to rub the kids of their achivement. We have clear proof of Goku not being serious in literally all of his forms up to that point. Pretty much the only time we have seen Goku actually be serious in a form is when he first goes Super Saiyan against Frieza.

Tamagami 1 is at least the strength of ssj3, since Tamagami 3 was equal with ssj1 but overpowered by 2, and Tamagami 2 was equal with ssj2 but after the buff was stronger than 2 but embarrassed by 3, meaning Tamagami 1 was most likely going to be on par with ssj3 or maybe even a bit stronger, meaning Majin Duu basically completely embarassed a super saiyan 3 level threat. They're cooked.

Nah, no way, tamagami 2 after getting the buff was most likely stronger than tamagami 1 or equal. It’s a big assumption to say that tamagami 1 was that much strostronger than 2 that even with a buff he would be weaker. Duu is probably on par with ssj3 or weaker

The machine was because Vegeta didn't have his tail anymore, so it forcibly filled him with enough Blutz Waves to cause it to grow back remember Goku had to train for a while on the Supreme Kai planet to grow his tail back, Vegeta wasn't about to grow his back over night especially as a fully grown adult otherwise it would have grown back long ago, its the same reason Goku and Gohan never grew their tails back after they grew up

Kuu MVP this episode. I take back any negative criticism I had about him. If they do fuse that's gonna be amazing. Vegeta getting a real W. Also, you have to keep in mind that the Tama's are about as strong as they are lore wise meant to be. I E Dabora was the top end of the Demon world in OG DBZ. Which he was supposed to be "slightly stronger than Perfect Cell". Assuming he couldn't use tricks like spitting on them to turn them into stone then SS2 is correct for about how strong they should be (roughly equal to SS2). I am really enjoying DbD.
