But the lack of evidence you have never bothered to search for and the lack of knowledge you have never gained on this topic in your life makes it very very very easy for the Satan to trick you, if you remain ignorant of these historical truths. Good talk, I believe the reason for any form of demonic influence( I.e.,possession, obsession, infestation) is “love of sin.” Many saints have suffered under demonic attack. You can make the argument that revealing demonic influence is actually a form of God’s Grace, like lifting a log and seeing vermin scramble. Tom the rosary is in the bible. It is called the angelic psalter " battering ram" the psalms "old testament" are150 and the rosary is 150. The 3 sets of 50 prayers. Why three mysteries? Because 3 is the number of in God for the holy Trinity Father Son and Holy Ghost. The psalms is old testament. The rosary is the new testament story in prayer form. St Thomas Aquinas explained that under Divine Law a layman does not have the spiritual authority to perform the Roman Catholic rite of exorcism because he is not consecrated as a priest is. So, if they pray the prayers only a priest has the authority to pray, they will be susceptible to retaliation by the demons in question. Not a good position to put oneself in!

"Hallow" - or holy person - refers to the saints celebrated on All Saints' Day, which is November 1. The "een" part of the word is a contraction of "eve" - or evening before. So basically, Halloween is just an old-fashioned way of saying "the night before All Saints' Day" - also called Hallowmas or All Hallows' Day.

I have watched KZbin videos on schizophrenia and it does does not appear to be a possession but a chemical imbalance in the brain. Now here is where it gets scary... Unrequited love. This is where a person is constantly falling for people who they can not have. Upon finding the romantic interest is married the person goes crazy and flips out. Yet there are times when the person will be normal and doing ok. Schizophrenics are always off balance and unable to process information ware on the other hand the person suffering from unrequited love is otherwise a normal and rational person when not spellbound. The sad thing is no one knows the person is suffering inside. I witnessed The demon was driven out and the person became normal again and was able to even befriend and be nice to the people they could not have. To a psychologist they would just say the person was doing it for attention. Long story short mental illness does not just float away like a demon leaving the body and rendering the person fully normal again. I have witnessed demons jumping from one person to another like fleas. One person stops flipping out, abusing alcohol as if the problem was never there and becomes rational and the other once rational person who tried to calm the other down gets into drugs and/or alcohol and starts flipping out. And to make things more creepy as hell the person who experienced love that was not returned to them accepts God into their heart stops alcohol cold turkey and acts sane and nice to their neighbors where once they were being rude by taking the unreturned love out on the neighborhood. Something had influence over that persons mind. I will save the rest for a book...

Most mental illness is actually a physical problem. Only on rare occasions is it caused by the demons. All of the exorcists are very clear on this point. So, I am sorry to tell you this, because this is not what you obviously want to hear, but there's almost certainly no magic bullet for you. You'll have to do the hard work with a therapist.

I was also concerned/questioning of the part where the priest is answering a question, in respect to forms of prayers before Vat 2 and afterwards. Fr Fernandes in explaining uses the example of rosary beads once being blessed in themselves, and the new prayer revised I think he said in 1999; then 2004, being more inclined to bless only the people who will use the objects (really quite a shift, and can't see why 'both', beads article, and the person using them could not be anyway prayed for respectively). This aside, The Rosary consists of a crucifix, and I note physical sacred symbols that are used in various liturgies, incl. exorcisms. e.g. blessed water, blessed salt, or even blessing a building/consecrating a church are still used, or does this imply, that only the people using anything are prayed for now etc. Other than my modest questions, I enjoyed what the priest had to say. Good to feed the soul and intellect to better know my faith. God Bless you all!

Many devotees of religion want to blame a devil for "leading their spiritually weakened souls" to commit evil behavior. How else, and for what "reason" would the ritual of exorcisms exist among both Catholics and Protestants? Is the devil "able" to sneak into their souls, and rule over them? What happened to Jesus taking away all their sins, so the devil can't attack their souls? As an Atheist, if I commit horrible behavior, I will be taking full responsibility for that behavior. And if I am kind to others, I won't be feigning humility by claiming that it is a loving god that is leading me. It will be me that is responsible for both types of behaviors. It's time to grow up, and out of archaic religions.
