Welcome to our newest adventure! We've landed in Malaysia with no plans and have had the most incredible time exploring this diverse and beautiful country. It couldn't be more different to the vast, remote and arid lands we left behind in Australia. In this adventure we travel from concrete jungle to lush green jungle, have some amazing wildlife encounters, try malaysian street food for the first time and enjoy the rich tapestry of culture and life here. We're so excited to start this new journey and to share it with you.

All those jumping monkey's into the creek! The street food looks delicious. If the food wasn't different, it wouldn't be fun. It's sad people don't understand their trash spoils it for everyone, not to mention our planet. Thx for another fun adventure & a glimpse into places I've never imagined..

I love Malaysia. I was there in 1994 on a youth orchestra tour. Penang was my favorite place. However we only toured on the Malaysian peninsula (KL, Ipoh, and Penang). Some day I want to get to the Borneo portion of the country.

We just use a go pro hero 11 black, its brilliant in some ways as it’s easy to use, light, reasonably cheap, very hardy so takes a beating and we can also use it when snorkelling etc, but in other ways it’s not so good, it’s terrible in bad light, it doesn’t work properly in shops or near fluorescent light, the audio is pretty poor even when we use the media mod, you can’t zoom in on any footage, At some stage I think we will go over to a big camera setup but the price and inconvenience of a big camera is stopping us at the minute 😁

I think you got it confused when you say its the biggest butterfly park in the world, its not even the biggest in malaysia ( which is the Entopia in Penang) its either you were confusing it with it housing one of the larget butterfly in the world ( the Rajah Brooke, largest in Malaysia) or the bird park which is the largest walk-in free flight aviary in the world (but still not the largest bird park in the world)

3:04 Not sure who you had been talking to, but there's no snacking between the gap during the Ramadan fasting 😆 Only food and drinks is allowed is after the Maghrib (after sunset) prayer and before Subuh (before dawn) prayer. Other religions do practice intermittent fasting, but not the Muslim.

@@truebluetravellers You are right that Batu Caves is rather dirty but I don't fully blame the people but the macaque monkeys. They rummage the rubbish bins and throw all the plastics everywhere. As both of you love nature, I think you need to stay longer than 3 weeks in Malaysia. All the islands, the east coast of Peninsula and the Borneo part (East Malaysia) of Malaysia. And do talk to the locals in all those rural/non-touristy areas , they are very shy and respectful and won't start the convo. But they will try their best to make you feel welcomed. Good luck, enjoy and stay safe.

Thanks so much, we are already in love with this country! The natural sites are amazing but the people here are some of the loveliest we have met anyway in the world, and I’m not just saying that to be nice. Everyone smiles at you and I have honestly lost count of the number of people who have stopped us on the street and welcomed us to Malaysia. Someone even shouted “welcome to Malaysia” to us as they drove past on a scooter the other day! The children in the little villages are adorable too, they all giggle and wave and are so interested in us. We were talking to a grab driver the other day and said to him that we honestly feel safer walking around Malaysian cities at night than in London.
