Shawn Irene, I am not so sure she was faking her crying. She shows signs of PTSD to me. Her husband got so deeply into her head and heart she needs some serious counseling. A person with PTSD over something like that can live on the verge of tears all the time that seems quite abnormal to other people. Her husband was a public figure in Jacksonville when she met him, so she had no reason to think she was being dubed when their relationship began. He even drew her family into his game making them think he was a good guy. He is a despicable con-artist who crushed her dreams and left her holding the bag. It is sad and leaves me shaking my head.

You know like if someone really did die then why wasn’t their life insurance money claimed? So she had to be all in as if he really did die. But still.....she should have at that point realized something was up. That’s so much money....if she really was honest and meant good wouldn’t you think ok I’ll file the claim and we can give it to charity or something....idk the good in me really wants to believe her but cmon lady....smh

All she had to do was look up CJD and she would know in two seconds that he was a rotten liar. CJD can't be detected unless in an autopsy. If I knew my partner had any sort of disease I would be on the internet learning everything about it. I know not everyone is that curious, but still, she should've done some groundwork.

"Everything he did" I do feel sorry for her, I do. She was duped and taken advantage of and he chose her specifically BECAUSE she would be easy to fool into that (so many middle aged women are fished into schemes like this because they're lonely and naive). But the fact that she knew he wasn't dead and tried to collect 7 insurance payouts while also flying to him to give him money--yeah that's not just accidentally aiding, she was willfully ignoring all evidence to the contrary.

Umm, no, she knew. She’s just lying about not knowing. I mean, come on, how often are we told “women are smarter than men!”, or, “I’ve been on earth long enough to know a thing or two…I’m older and wiser…”, etc. But whenever it’s convenient we hear, “She was taken advantage of because she’s a middle aged woman…”, or “He took advantage of me because I’m old!”.
