Your control of your playing (which is outstanding) is only matched by your ability to explain what you are doing. No pretentions, no BS, no god like attitude: only good communicated explanations. You are my hero. Rock, Country, Jazz, I like them all. Your non nonsense straight forward ability to explain whats really going on in these different styles is something I've been in search of for many years. Thank you my friend. You have been able to provide an enlightenment to me that I've been searching for an incredible amount of time. I now have something to be able to wake up in the morning and do everyday in these waning years of my stay in this world.

I never thought I'd learn the pathway to playing Hendrix-style rhythm , through a Country and Western artist! Thank you Sir!

I half expected him to roll into "Addicted to love" or "Money for nothing" at least once in this video. Nailed it Johnny! I love it man. Keep up the good work! Monster playing!

Playing country in rock context.Sometimes when I think of country rock I think of 70's southern rock...but their not quite the same animal.
@natrixxvision69973 жыл бұрын
I don’t think I’ve ever heard any of the southern rock guys play like that.

Too much distortion for me. Johnnie’s playing sounds like a pedal steel guitar at times. He is not using a string bender. Can a lens be replaced with acrylic, or anything else be done to improve your eye sight? Johnnie always has such a cheerful, positive, encouraging attitude. Bravo!

The only guy comparable to Johnny would b Danny Gatton, which to me means Johnny is the best or at least the most original guitarist alive

Screw the 2 distortion pedals. A dual Chanel tube amp gives me all I need. I use a Marshall. You don’t rely everything on a pedal.
