Mr Shailesh, dividend yield will matter only if you are investing for the sake of dividends, which is rarely the case. But for a thumb rule, rare investors who invest keeping dividends in mind will consider a dividend yield that is more than what we get in a normal bank FD for one year 😊 But at last, such dividend investing is rare.

Dividend is paid from net income to the company’s share holders and return on equity means how much profits company earns from the equity (formulae is Net Income divided by Average Shareholders equity)…..hope u will understand
