Really liking these Scale videos, thank you. A “how-to“ video showing how to setup a Storj node in Scale would be a big thumbs up from me. There's currently no documentation on this for Core or Scale anywhere. So I believe you'd be the first

8:12 the problem you talked about is very similar to what I had when we used to run VM's on Cockpit ,CentOS8. For whatever reason, the VM just cannot communicate with the server its on, but here this, the SERVER can talk back to the VM with no issues. it was honestly odd. So I think this is more than just a TrueNAS problem but i'd still love to here what's exactly happening

are you in contact with trunas devs? If so can you nudge them to fix this virtialization/bridge issue? Their forum is full of people complaining about this and spending hours trying to figure this out. I also lost a whole day of productivity on this issue :(

I would like to see a video where the storage pool is enhanced. Supposing you start off with 4 4tb drives with Zed2 and upgrade to 4 8tb drives same Zed2. Does this work the same as a regular raid system? What about adding an additional (same size) disk?

So i never updated my Truenas Scale... is there a video or step by step guide i can follow? Like what needs to be saved to ensure all files remain intact once i update. Cheers

You can literally launch docker images. What is it that you want them to do?

I'm hoping they get the performance of Scale close to that of Core soon. I'm using Scale on my backup server that just handles ZFS replication tasks and performance isn't a huge concern, but my primary Core box is hosting some faster storage for VM's and I'd like to eventually migrate the Core box to Scale and move my VM's off of my Proxmox server and get them running on Scale. But right now I'm not willing to take the performance hit of moving to Scale.

What numbers are you getting?

didn't see a fix for acl which I've had trouble getting to scale.

Is the VM networking issue because the bridge interface has an IP in a different subnet? I feel like if a bridge interface has an IP then none of its member interfaces should have IP address.

No their VM networking is really broken. There are workarounds bit they are not nice.

I can't upgrade 22.02.04... It seems like everything is working, the reboot happens, but it still comes back up as 22.02.03

me too, and no IPs assigned to interfaces participating to the bridge, in my case I have interfaces->Bond->bridge, only the bridge gets an IP, the VM is passed the bridge and it works ...
