Hey man, I've been a professional chef for over 15 years now, and let me tell you, I enjoy this style and type of cooking more than anything else. This is what is all about for me. Past all the long hours and hard work, going home and cooking for family/friends is what brings me the most joy. Simple, easy, clean and hearty food is what it's all about. I enjoyed watching you show your love for your family thru the passion and time you put into those burgers. Love the atmosphere, the music, everything about it speaks volumes to my soul. I wish you and yours the best of luck with your channel and future. Have fun, enjoy every moment and never loose that love and passion which you can show to others thru simple, delicious food. Take care brother.

Good Lord Luigi!! I think I put on at least five pounds just watching you cook!! 🤣 That is some good stuff. I don't have a place for a griddle like that but I think I can put a steel plate on a gas stove and do a pretty good "simulation." This is the first time I've come across your channel but you have a new subscriber! Well Done... Ok, maybe just medium...
@gregoryking93482 жыл бұрын
@@MrGaryGG48 You absolutely can buy a cast iron griddle either at yard sales or on Amazon, etc and recreate griddle cooking. I cooked certain dishes or my family of 6 that way. It will span 2 burners and allow for lots of area to cook on. Keep an eye on the flame height as you learn to use it, and use cheap paper towels rolled up when needed to soak up flammable greases from like burgers. Reduces the risk of a flash fire and also reduces spattering cleanup. I've made Philly's, smash burgers, hashbrown omelets, fried rice, steaks...the sky is the limit for griddle cooked foods. I began baking bacon on a rack on a cookie sheet, with parchment paper in the bottom to reduce stove top burner usage and spatter. 275 to 375 and flip one time. You can also use rolled up paper towels under the rack while it's cooking to soak up the fat. My family is grown and gone but I just HAD to get a Blackstone so I bought a 22". I absolutely love the thing. But you can do the same style cooking with an inexpensive cast iron griddle. :)

We've used this griddler for a variety of items including steak, fish, vegetables kzbin.infoUgkxMcXT6_MuT0hB3ejyGQQHaeof9bwoWPUf and mushrooms and it's been great! Gets that great smokey flavor when using high heat or sear. The grill works amazingly simple and very low smoke for what it is. Heat gets up fairly quick, especially on closed position. The griddler side is fairly simple, better for eggs and pancakes rather than any cooking. Use the flat plates with the grill side if needed.Cleanup is easy and having heat on both sides is great for cooking a large amount or panini press.This definitely gets hot though so be careful with the sides.

Nicely done video pardoner. I have to admit that I am an old school BBQ guy and this smash’ burger trend leaves me cold. I sear thick burgers over our BBQ and let the heat and flames from the dripping grease seal the juices in… flipping once and monitoring closely … adding a hefty slice of cheese to a rare-medium rare doneness. Serve on toasted sourdough bread or ciabatta brushed with olive oil, slice of red onion, beefsteak tomato and butter lettuce. Whatever condiments you prefer. But that is just me. The only burger I would eat off a griddle by choice is a bun on the run as the only option out of town.
