For those who think it is delivering low volume, navigate to 1. Menu> audio >a.volume > on. U will feel the difference in sound after this. 2. Menu> speakers > multi channel audio > on. Adjust the subwoofer volume to 10- 12. Adjust the surround speakers distance using remote. U will feel real theatrical feel after these settings. Initially I also felt very low volume even at 100, later I changed the settings. Now it performs like a beast at this price point. Bluetooth connectivity is also good. Rear speakers amplifier will connect instantly once turned on. Sound clarity is also superb, u won't feel distorted even at higher volume. Upper bass is higher than lower bass. U can adjust the subwoofer volume accordingly.

I've this Sony HT S40R believe me it's amazing I'm using this with Sony X80K tv, for best experience use eARC port with compatible eARC HDMI cable 2.0 When I watch this using Netflix 5.1 channel audio it gives cinematic exp. Starting me muje problem Hui setting krne me, only CON is iska display led should be large. _ye setting Sony installation wale ne bhi nahi batai_ *True techy review is 100% true about this It really helped me for understanding its settings more accurately*

After watching KZbin reviews I purchased a Sony s40r. When I connect the soundbar with tv via HDMI arc or tv Bluetooth, the sound is very low compared to mobile Bluetooth play, USB direct play with soundbar. It's happened with any percentage volume. I tried PCM on/off, DRC on/off but there is no fix. After that I connected this soundbar with Sony, lg, Samsung tv, there is the same issue. Then I called Sony for service, after that Sony service employee came to my home and said that this soundbar is not capable of producing tv sound louder as compared to mobile Bluetooth play or USB direct play with soundbar. Sony's services are very bad and not acceptable.Don't buy sony s20r or s40r. After all of these things happened I purchased JBL 2.1 deep bass mk2. Now I'm a big fan of JBL's music instruments, sound separation, vocals, bass, sound clarity and loudness.

with HDMI ARC you don't need additional inputs, even if you connect your PS4 or any gaming console to the TV, ARC will still output 5.1 audio to the Speakers. Besides this there is Bluetooth connectivity which is also an additional input for playing music from a Bluetooth device.

🔴🔴🔴🔴 I went to Croma last day and tried out all the models. Unfortunately HTS40R sounded very muddy and all the frequencies were mixing up and generally tending to a bassy audio. Dialogues were unclear, barely any treble in speakers. Then i tried Samsung B67. B67 was more clear, but the audio was more of treble and bass was very less, not punchy in fact. I had to put treble to -6(minimum) to match it with this Sony. Finally i tried Sony 500RF and that sounded way better than these two. Of course it costs little more at around 33K after offers, but audio was more clear, instruments were well audible, bass was heavy, and volume is quite high, like 70% volume makes it the max vol of HTS40R. Only con is its a a fully wired System. Also it has a premium build quality. In addition i noticed that the HTS40 woofers look cheaper compared to 500RF, also HTS40r uses a cheaper, less denser MDF board for material and you can feel that after knocking the woofer body. If you are planning to buy, go to a Physical store and decide for yourself than blindly going with reviews and ratings. Everyone has a diff taste of audio in fact. 🔴🔴🔴🔴

Whenever someone is not mentioning the cons it means the viewer is the prospect customer. Subwoofer is wired whereas these days subwoofers are wireless so iust need to hang aove behind your back rest wall.

Abhinav isme dts or dts x nahi to surround acute nahi mil sakta. Dts is must for actual surround effect. In one word Its a wireless ht rt3 model.

Sir, maine ek ek word wo bataya hai jo feel kiya hai… S-master amplifier with dolby makes surround sound better than dts. I have LG 5.1 of ₹46000 and this one is far better in surround and clarity

Before reviewing speaker try to learn the listening position. Your surround speakers are below the ear level so it doesn't make any sense.
