What a find! Congrats to the finder! You should watch the video when we found a gold coin in the UK: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZi1laV_d550rJo

Yes truly a find of his life time but also a find of many many other's life times. he had just came back to metal detecting and this was his first field and very first find after being out of detecting for a long long time. you know it had to make all the detector manufactures happy because they are selling new machines like crazy now because of that one new find. Everyone needs to remember the land owner when you get to sell any item worth good money you have to include them because that will get out also making it much easier for all of us to get permissions!! keep up the good work love the channel......

Incredible!! Nothing near that old here in the USA but gold coins from shipwrecks that are pretty old have been found off the Florida coast.

Indeed. Those shipwreck gold coins on the Florida coast would be nice to find too.

So if the British museum has 7 then that's £3.5 million they have on display which I'm sure they never paid anything like that at the time when they claimed the items as treasure. Probably gave the original finder around £5000 back then so a very good investment indeed which is a common thing they do so it's interesting that they are trying to change the treasure law to any single coin that is of historic interest to become treasure so they can undercut the auction houses and value these items themselves hmmmm gets you thinking doesn't it. Basically at the moment if you found 2 rare coins now your better off leaving 1 in the ground and declaring you found 1 lol but those days will come to an end in the future I'm sure of it.

Sounds like that. Hadn't heard that they are trying to change the law to a single coin, but that sounds smarter for them.
