I love the way the back wheel is already turning, like a dog's tail when you reach for the lead hanging on the wall. Lets go.

Old Triumphs are just in a league of their own. You can't really prepare for what they're like to ride. I remember getting mine delivered having never ridden one. I still think about that first time taking off through our neighborhood, that loud rumble as they engine break, that feeling of performance and speed despite being totally slow compared to modern sportbikes. So good
@douglasmason61122 жыл бұрын
Yes, they have to be ridden to understand what it's all about.👍

This is exactly how a Triumph should sound.. Today's models sound like sewing machines. The styling of these 60s Triumphs is just perfect too.

To be fair… yes they do in stock form straight from the factory. But just add a $99 de-cat and they roar nicely. Add better mufflers and they sound great. But air-cooled will nearly always have a certain character that is hard to beat!

Today, it's fine to just trundle around but way back when, the only thing that counted was to thrash the hell out of everything and then the CB750 came along and presto - reliable speed.

Yes that is one beautifully turned out, well maintained motorcycle. I had a 1982 Triumph Tiger Trail 750 in a bright yellow. Rugged, reliable and a totally different riding experience to anything else on the road.

A unit construction pre-oil-in-frame 650 Triumph is a great usable classic to own with plenty of performance and spares back-up. Single carb models a better choice I reckon.

Yes, I had a '69 TR6 for years, a better bike for around town use & less fussy. But for fast back roads the Bonnie shines.

Hi, the original ignition systems were always problems with these bikes, the advancer will hang up, making erratic idle. Go with a Boyer unit. Good luck

Very smooth you have near perfect valve timing! Not trying to be that guy but try raising your idle about 100-200 rpm it sounds a rich under even after warming up at idle at the end of the vid you might also notice a little more top on your gearing just an opinion a beautiful 69 you must be very proud
