Autocar Trucks, ( A Compilation )

This year (2020 ), all of the shows and events that I usually make videos of have to date been cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic. Because I have no new material for videos, I have gone back into my catalogs and pulled up pictures and video clips of shows that I have attended in the past. In this video, I have used pictures and clips of Autocar trucks that I have seen over the years. I hope that you folks enjoy this. Thanks for watching.

At 1:50 is a mixer from PRM Concrete of Rhode Island... the oldest truck mixer firm in R. I., though there was one other Pre-War mixer firm just over the R. I. line into Mass., "Morse". . . .

Those trucks were in the George Tackaberry collection in Athens, Ontario, Canada.

A trip to the past when the heavy jobs were handled by Autocar & Mack trucks. There were dumps, mixers, low boy tractors, block trucks, wreckers, garbage trucks, roll offs and the extra heavy duty off road trucks often used as prime movers. Autocar trucks are being built in Ohio now but look noth- ing like their predecessors .

I at least got my Trukluver fix a little while. Still hoping for some late shows, this fall, but you stay safe! Don't go rushing out too soon. Autocars are my favorite make of heavy trucks. My dream hobby truck would be a '72 tri-axle Autocar square-fender wrecker in basic black, dolled up with all kinds of running lights and black painted Dayton wheels.
