your math's wrong in first model one block was one chunk so: 1b * 1b = 16 * 16 1b = 256 so the scale is 1 : 256 in second model four blocks were one chunk so: 4b * 4b = 16 * 16 16b = 256 | /16 1b = 16 so the scale is 1 : 16 sorry for being a nerd

Silent, I tried to replicate your aquatics spawning experiment but in 6-chunk and 8-chunk simulation distance. The results are interesting: The cod and salmon spawn like in the 4-chunk simulation area: They only spawn within 24 blocks of players. Squid and dolphin spawning are similar to those of the 4-chunk simulation area, but they can spawn further away up to 128 blocks away from the player, compared to only 44 blocks away on 4 chunks. That concludes the experiments I did by modifying your methods to fit into 6 chunk and 8 chunk simulation distances.

For laying out the spirals, I would use a drawing app that shows grid lines and put down first 2d representations of your existing farms (one to one pixel/block ratio would be easiest). Then you could draw in the spirals until you get your desired curve in the app, and you would know ahead of time where you want the blocks to go before spending hours tweaking a structure you suddenly don't like mid build.

There is one up already for 4 chunk simulation distance ( 4 chunks is the lowest simulation distance possible right? ) With a 10 sim distance the afk spot would be super high in the air so you don’t load the ocean

I do. I entered the other day and didnt move anywhere but fell directly into the void and lost everything. Came back in and loaded in like normal but my items were gone. I've been back like 8 times since then and it's never happened again but now I have PTSD everytime it loads... lol

Built this on my tablet. 1.16.210. Work great. Only problem is I built for render distance of 4. My tablets lowest render is 6. Do I have to move my AFK spot higher. I still get lots-o-fish. More fish than anything. But after about an hour I had almost 3 stacks of ink.

Before black dye was added you used ink sacs but when they added black dye you could use both. Ink sacs can also be crafted into black dye

When you first create the world, there is an option to change the simulation distance. I believe that 4 is the minimum and the maximum depends on how good your device is.
