That is the best operational instructions I’ve seen on the Truma Combi. Most of the other channels missed the vent instructions! Thanks for sharing a comprehensive explanation of this boiler. I collected my Devon Conversion yesterday so I have a lot to learn and this was really helpful.

totally agree with Sylviapage8572 comments. I have just taken delivery of my WildAx Aurora and was rather confused in operating this important device. You have explained it all absolutely perfectly backed up by demonstrationsat a speed my brain can absorb it all. Thank you very much for this post!!

Could you do a video on how to set up things once you arrive at a site please? Such as, do you prime the water first or turn on the boiler etc. Someone advised me that we should keep the boiler on all the time to avoid overheating? Many thanks

@@motorhomeadventures3064 Thank you, I am sure I will have more questions at some point. I also have a Wildax. Just thought: I want to get some wing mirror covers but not sure whether the mirrors have a short or medium arm, do you know?

Good to see it explained exactly as you said for the novice/beginner. Do you find most people ignore the timer ? I’m guessing it can heat the van up super quickly?
@roamwithme96843 жыл бұрын
Yes, a van of this size can have warm air comfort in just a few minutes. Of course, if the van has been left unheated for a long time, it takes much longer for the heat to sink in to the 'fabric'. I don't bother with the timer because van life for me is generally far less structured than normal day to day life in a house, so any programmed settings probably wouldn't be right on most days.

Thanks very useful… through testing the temperature displayed (when idle) seems to be the target temperature. I feel it would have been better for it to display the current temperature (rather than target)… have you found a way for it to display the current temperature by any chance?
@roamwithme9684 Жыл бұрын
The default temp displayed should be the current van temp. After setting the target temp press the back button and it will take you to the clock and current temp display. NB The current temp reading in a van is greatly dependent on where the sensor is (which is where the installer put it!). A shaft of sunlight in the right place can temporarily send the sensed temp shooting up way above what the real temp is in the van.

@@roamwithme9684 thanks for your note, however my unit displays the target temperature, here is a short video. I’d be interested to know if yours is different. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rmLQna2Zq6iXbqM

@@mikefardell I would expect it to show the cabin temp by default., not the target temp. Try turning off all power inputs for 10 secs and try again

@@roamwithme9684 thanks… I would expect to see current temp too. I tried your suggestion to no avail. I found a manual online and that states that the “display changes between the time and the set room temperature” so I guess it’s ‘by design’ although displaying the room temperature would be much more useful (in my opinion).
