Hi Richie, your going straight from your consumer unit 16 amps...you will blow your pcb...you must fit a spur unit...switch for good work practice and ideal for isolating at source for maintenance...make sure you put a 3 amp fuse in spur unit to reduce the ampage so not to blow your pcb. If you read your manufacturer's instructions I'm sure it will explain what I'm saying for sure 👍

Using that water pump you need a one way valve in the cold water feed as per the instructions also the red connector is a vent and the drain tap has a built in pressure relief valve

Thanks for your advice! Yes I have a one way valve in the cold water feed! I just didn’t mention it for the water heater install. I will be doing a plumbing video where I will explain my plumbing setup :)

Hi Richie, hope you don't mind but I have some concerns for you... your boiler should be on a none combustible material ie: checker plate under your boiler...also you put the flue together with plumbers mate...I recommend you use high temperature sealant ie: tubes like silicone that can withstand high temperature...forms a fantastic seal you can get off ebay for around €8. I hope you don't mind me saying... I'm a heating engineer. Regards and stay safe brother 💪

Thanks a million for the advice Kevin! Good idea, I can slide a checker plate under the boiler and I'll get a high temperature sealant for the cowl extension. :) Thanks again.

Hi Richie, sorry I just noticed your electrical connection/junction box...I might have missed it but you need to change that to a switch spur and fit a 3 amp fuse...hope you don't mind my hopefully constructive comments...its not meant to be criticism only trying to hear 👍

No worries Kevin thanks for the help/feedback, much appreciated. I'm learning as I go :) I'm confused now because I actually discussed that connection/junction box with an electrician. I specifically remember asking him do I need a fuse at that connection and he said no just use a connector block.

Nope, never heard of it! The reason I decided on the Truma ultra store water heater is because I can run it off gas for off grid and also hook up 240v

Sorry for the late reply! I Forget the exact height of the platform. The height of the platform for the water heater to rest on, should be high enough for the water heater coil to clear the trim on the outside of the van. Hope that helps!
