Who did record it first, Don Gibson or Truman Hudson? However, both versions are great! Thanks Tommy

Not sure when Truman Hudson recorded the song, but Don Gibson recorded it as Woman (Sensuous Woman) in early 1972, Ray Charles recorded it in 1980 as well as later recordings by Mark Chestnutt (who recorded it as Woman, Sensuous Woman in 1993), Vern Gosdin, and fom1960s rock and country performer Jack Scott (released in 2015), and Ed Gary ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWmafGOoecp7a5I ). I don't believe Gary S. Paxton, the song writer (who led a very interesting life in itself) recorded it other than as a publishing demo.
