I think the reason Boots is getting so much backlash is because, He said pre-fight that he would KO Karen Ez work. He also said it would be a fun/Party. IT didn't look like a fun party. Boots looked embarrassed post fight even though he won, then it makes him look worse saying Karen is a lower tier fighter. When Karen would give many fighters problems. Karen is a skilled fighter last time he fought Karen ran and pop Boots. This time around he took it to Boots stayed on the inside but touched Boots a lot. Boots floored Karen then Karen got in his bike and clinched but I did notice that Boots those better when his opponent comes forward. But Boots its not a boxer he is more of volume puncher. Most boxers now are volume punchers. We rarely have true brawlers and boxers now.

I started just watching 80s Matches on YT to watch the best fight each other. I watch clips of Ali and Aaron Pryor going to other opponents camps and calling them out. Ive known about Boots deficiencies for a whiel now but everyones going over the top, its still gonna take a special fighter to beat him. Id still favour him to Beat BNJ and some big names at 54, dude can still punch, he's simply a victim of his own hype which wasnt created by him. Boxing seemed desperate to find a Bud Crawford air who they can all catch and endorse, to make up for missing out on bid, so they over propped boots. Vergil fight could be good for him, stylistically it could be more favourable than Karan and some of the others at 54 that i imagine. Vergil is too similar to boots in that, he liked to sit in midrange too much, against boots he has to use his jab and create sngles off it. Something which Vergil can do very well, if hes less reckless with boots then he'll be ok
