Not at all. He looks like it some of the time, but if you start listening at 4:35, not only does he start exaggerating the nature of the issue, but he also disregards the economic fluidity of world energy needs. He attempted to use this as a wedge issue, but if you are paying even closer attention, you can see that the argument is off and that this timing is about where he loses the opportunity to make a real difference on the world stage. He was not able to seal the deal, either - the “art of the deal” was not a success in this event - that is what really happened. Here Trump, as in many other instances, was not able to effect the change he sought. Why? He did not understand the European Union nor Europe well enough to work together with them to alter the direction of such a pipeline. Trump’s calculus here is to publicly embarrass and strong arm the EU into changing their policy, that is easy to see, maybe it is too sophisticated to envision how a successful deal made - I will point to one: Germany ended the deal with Russia because Biden is much smarter and much more capable. I know you didn’t want to read that Trump didn’t get what he wanted for the US, but ultimately he was responsible as president for closing the deal. Excuses, excuses.

Everybody knows Biden is done after this term because he’s not going to run again at the age of 83. So if the Dems choose someone like Harris or Warren (very progressive and controversial candidates), who are also not likeable (Biden was likeable which is a main reason why he “won” the election), then Trump could have potential to come back on top.

@@polsenOO7 Trump suits and ties being sold are made in China. If his tariffs are working and china’s gdp would shrink because of it, but china’s GDP last quarter grew by 4.9%. You don’t seem to know anything about Chinese economy and how the world economy works and believe everything trump says. Trump is a liar. He said he would tax 10% on Chinese goods and China will pay for it. Nope you paid for it, Chris, with your tax money. Our importers quietly put the 10% price tag in products you buy and the reason why new iPhone 12 is 25% more expensive product vs product (apple never releases this but since they make their own chips they actually improved their margin by 34%) . Because your trump, Americans like you and I pay more for the same products . Study more on tariff and simply google if trump tariff worked or not.
@polsenOO74 жыл бұрын
@@Foygjkg Oh man, Chinese made suits and ties are going to end US manufacturing jobs as we know it .. Trump's business of making suits and ties maybe made in the China, but that does not mean (all manufacturing) is going to over there. In fact, I am not sure why China GDP grew, but I know it wasn't due solely to American Manufacturing. Trump's tariffs were way better for the American people than what the neo-cons such as Bush Jr. & Obama did when they supported things like the Trans Pacific Partnership where that got rid of the taxing of employers if they chose to export their products from places like, China where they can use that cheap Chinese labor and benefit from it without much of a cost. Trump eliminated the TPP which effectively forced US manufacturers to rethink their exporting strategies. It is true that some companies are incorporating that tariff hit onto their products, but as a consumer that will not be tolerated much long because that will force them to buy products from competitors that are cheaper. Trump's tariffs have caused American Manufacturing to come back here in the States and set up root here because as I said they were unable to take advantage of cheap offshoring loopholes. And this was true up until the Covid Crisis hit. Yes, I do know what I am talking about and if you want to troll, do a better job because somepeople can call out bullshit that you think you can skim by.

Russia is the main EU supplier of crude oil, natural gas and solid fossil fuels The stability of the EU’s energy supply may be threatened if a high proportion of imports are concentrated among relatively few external partners. In 2018, almost two thirds of the extra-EU's crude oil imports came from Russia (30 %), Iraq (9 %) and Saudi Arabia, Norway, Kazakhstan and Nigeria (7 % each). A similar analysis shows that almost three quarters of the EU's imports of natural gas came from Russia (40 %), Norway (18 %) and Algeria (11 %), while almost three quarters of solid fuel (mostly coal) imports originated from Russia (42 %), the United States (18 %) and Colombia (13 %).
