Coming from a family of all Rep (me included) who voted for Trump and have family in Texas, I find this Trump visit and video really in poor taste and odd. First, let's forgot about what he said about crowd size; and shoot right over to why I find it really odd. A lot of people...including my family...lost a lot. Had either damage or flooding. They sure as hell did not have a flag handy to wave. I know these people were 4 hours away, but, what aren't they busy cleaning up? It's so frustrating to be in Australia with family in Houston. I mean, there's probably precious little I could do if I were there, but as someone who has experienced the kind of inundation the Tx Gulf coast is experiencing (the Qld floods of 2011), you really just want to be there to either help folks out of their homes or move their stuff to higher ground or, the most important part, pitching in for the clean up after the waters subside.

They didn't trust that they knew what they were doing or cared about their men. Trump did the S.O.P. and failed as a leader. You want a leader? Look at JJ Watt. I don't even care that he made life very difficult for my MSU Spartans for years, I don't care if he might not agree with me politically. It's hard for people who don't live down here to not have empathy for the victims of Hurricane Harvey. But I'm surrounded by the same types of assholes in Alabama. I grew up around them. I'm having a hard time having empathy for them because they sure as hell didn't have empathy for the victims of Sandy. They do not give a shit about anybody that's not in their area. I believe in karma, and I think that's what is happening to these people. Like my daddy used to say, "The chickens have come home to roost." This is their version of The Flood. +Ron Watson A few things - usually when Trump claims to donate his money, it is really coming from donations to his foundation. Second, if he is worth what he claims (doubt it) that is about one eleven thousandth of his worth - or about the same as an average person giving about $50 or $100. Third, he hasn't actually donated anything yet - he said he will, but did not know where or when he would actually donate the money. We all know that when he pledged $1 million to veterans, he had to be shamed into actually paying it, and then used foundation money. Not to mention that his properties have taken in far more than a million just on his golf trips. Maybe he should have used that money to give the Secret Service offices for their Trump Tower HQ rather than booting them to the street because they wanted more rent. That said, I am not saying he botched this totally.
