Real Talk I see where you are coming from. I do agree that the development of America brought with it horrible things such as the enslavement of black people, and the extermination of Native Americans through the manifest destiny. What I would like to note about the slavery is that there were centuries of cultural conditioning involved of not looking at black people like homo-sapiens, and the bible. So thought it wasn't perfect, it had the right idea of protecting the individuality through freedom and the right to life, and a person's inherent equality to other humans (remember, blacks weren't considered equal to white humans). Also that government should be limited, and should only be there to protect the people's freedom and invasion, and the idea of innocent until proven guilty. So even though it had very bad sides to it, it had the right idea of freedom, especially compared to other nations in the world. But it is usually the free market and the prosperity from it, and the general freedom that people had that is the highlight throughout America's history.

I never watched that speech because I was too turned off by his Racism.. Anyone who is an "other" heard that speech a lot different. I felt disenfranchised because he didnt seem to know the story of all Americans. Just more like "stereotypes". Also he talked about God, but he spoke about more "satanic principles" that are not Godly. God teaches us to take care of the weak, the poor, and disenfranchised. I would like to talk to Trump supporters, understand where they're coming from, and have a rational dialogue. But it's like we live in different worlds and speak different languages. My Dad is a conservative and I'm a liberal. However, we usually have interesting conversations. Though he's a conservative, he does not support Trump. Even if we agree or disagree we can find common ground or learn from each other. But Trump supporters are a different kind of people. It's like all hope is lost.
