I hear you, not backgrounding any calves this winter. Sold them over the last month at money I’ve never seen on a calf before. I’m no expert, but I think we’ll see tariffs for at least a couple months. Just to make bargaining easier, what that’ll do to the price of cattle? Who knows………

Thanks for the video! Wondering what your plans are for next year on the field you're bale grazing? Farmers have many things and challenges to overcome... hopeful that more freedom for the individual is on the way. 🙂

Next year I’ll just leave it for the cattle to graze. By late summer the grass will fill in the bare spots and the grass usually is very productive.

Hey Randy, cows are sure trained to the bale grazing! Cows will eat slough hay as a change. We feed lots of it with silage. Dont blame you for selling some calves now, anyones guess what will happen with the political situation on both sides of the border.
