I’m patriotic too, when I went to my uncle’s funeral recently, there were all the military honors. He was Navy. The navy hymns. And the flag presentation. Very emotional. Worse because Trump calls them suckers and losers breaks my heart.

The 'protesters' you refer to sound a lot like the westboro baptist church crazies. I worked with a guy who belonged to a group of vets who made it their mission to go to these ceremonies. The vets would then put themselves between those scumbags and the mourners so they could have some relative peace in their grief. My co-worker's group rode motorcycles also.
