I wish he’d start naming the water system but he won’t so I’ll do it: looks like the CA state water project/SWP. Aka Pacific Coast Water System. Environmentalists are protecting the chinook salmon and this smelt fish. There’s federal and state laws like the endangered species act that require compliance and it looks like those are some of the main reasons the water is shunted to the pacific. Too be fair, Trump did tell him to perform regular maintenance to avoid raging fires. I get people don’t want to like him or admit he’s right but the facts are there. They have had options to mitigate damage and chosen instead to just not do anything. Those were deliberate choices that put the residents in peril.

I read that the Palisades fire area was not being properly cleared of wild brush. This was because an "amateur hiker" in the Topanga Beach/Palisades area discovered a rare shrub, causing eco-bureaucrats to halt a "Pacific Palisades fire safety project." I suspect the so-called amateur hiker has close ties to the eco-bureaucrats and was sent to find this endangered shrub. I believe these fires are driven by politicians with deep pockets from large developer friends. Newsom claims he will streamline city building permits, but he hasn't mentioned anything about the California Coastal Commission, which will likely drag the building process to the point that people give up. Ultimately, these properties will be purchased by developer friends to rebuild high-density housing. I suspect Caruso Development is first in line.

Every attempt to build desalination plants across PCH (which would solve ALL of our water problems for good) were shut down by Newsom. Wake up. They create fake water shortages so they can gouge the eff out of us. One might also ask why they do little to no forest management either. Is it the environmentalists? Or is it something more sinister? Either way, wtf are we doing paying so much in tax if we have no water or proper public services? The aqueduct is a gravity-flow system that delivers water to Los Angeles. How it works The aqueduct is made up of canals, pipelines, and tunnels The water flows from the Owens River and Mono Lake Basin to Los Angeles The aqueduct is operated by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) History The first section of the aqueduct, the First LA Aqueduct (LAA1), was completed in 1913 The Mono Basin Extension was completed in 1941, extending the route up the Owens Valley The Second LA Aqueduct (LAA2) was completed in 1970, doubling the capacity of the system Significance The aqueduct was a major engineering accomplishment when it was completed It played a vital role in the growth of Los Angeles, providing water for drinking, industry, and irrigation It continues to be a major source of water for Los Angeles, helping to manage droughts and water scarcity
