The United States of America will swallow up the immigrants because it is a country of immigrants. Then it will put them to work in one of those ghost industries that we'd only notice if they had to pay a proper wage and taxes or if they stopped doing it. The American dream is not all the picket fences and suburbs. We are looking at it wrong. The American dream is having a job to be able to afford all that and not only that but a job that pays more than your neighbors so you can make them envious of your superior stuff. This drives consumerism which gives people the impetus to work and that is harnessed to make employers money. You may dream of a little bit of favor from the employer, that they will deign to let you have a little more of their pile. Shame you negotiated a little less vigorously than you should have. Business owners have every right to earn their money back from their investments and earn profit too. Investors should have the lion's share not the dragon's share.
