The truth probably is that it was built for the military. Most of the technologies we use today were in some way built for use by the military. Certainly any kind of technology that we use to put crafts into orbit around or beyond the earth were originally an extension of WWII weapon R&D and later part of the cold war. Same for cell phones, radio and microwave communications, digital technologies, I could go on. The line between domestic commercial and domestic military interests is also a very hard line to draw. I've always tried to resist what I've always known to be true about the imperialist and expansionary nature of our nation, and any nation with a high quality of life. And that is that in order for a nation to become advanced, somewhere along the line it gained advantage by subjugation and rule over people, somewhere. Look at any nation state you care to and you will find that this is an unfortunate truth. Yes, DT sounds like he wants to return to the 19th century, and be the next Teddy, not Franklin Delano, Roosevelt. At least he's thinking big this time, how much of it is true and how much is hot air remains to be seen. But this is Final Stage DT Boss we've unlocked. I think Trump has achieved something and none of us have anything to say.
