Executive orders don’t actually solve it though. Like they need more judges to work through the backlog, and they need legal authority to change the amnesty laws. The bipartisan border deal would have solved those issues.

Having read the proposed legislation, I have to respectfully disagree. The crux of the problem is catch and release vs remain in Mexico. Codifying catch and release makes little since unless your goal is to develop an underclass of cheap illegal workers.@@TonyTrupp

This is so true. Having republican views is fine but as a journalist you shouldnt interrupt if you disagree with the guest and try to be at least neutral and not repeat the exact same talking points from politicans without questioning

@@jl1248able Having dissenting opinions is completly fine but as a journalist you should try to be neutral and dont be partisan. Are you better than you were 4 years ago? Hell yeah! Job offers galore, increased wages, stock market through the roof and home equity at record levels. For us, yes. For some not. Regardless of party in power, it's an economy going forward that has to be navigated. There's no more easy paths but then, we didn't found this country to be easy. 18 year olds are landing 6 figure jobs because of the technical skills they've built up without college debt and retirees are working part-time as consultants in tech earning hundreds of dollars per hour to help augment their retirement savings. Meanwhile, last year I had 143 job openings all paying 6 figures and willing to hire anywhere in North America and could hardly find anyone qualified. Keep interest rates where they are, let inflation keep coming down (already is) and let the extension of the digital transformation boom carry forward with AI which will also propel every company that hasn't digitized its infrastructure to rapidly do so, creating millions of more jobs. So let it be written, so let it be done!

We are in a worse position now economically than we were even 25 years ago
@dalepellerin
@dalepellerin 2 ай бұрын
@@dthrust9037 for some yes. For those who have adapted, not so much. Record equity appreciation in residential real estate has created more millionaires than at any point in history. Wages in the tech sector have exploded, especially for those who continuously advanced their skills. The S&P500 index has returned an average of 14% since 2008 and anyone can beat the S&P500 with half a brain. The opportunities for entrepreneurs has never been greater. With the cost of higher education skyrocketing, a plethora of online education has emerged and corporate America has but all abandoned requirements for college education; making entry into six figure tech jobs easier than ever without exorbitant and lengthy college curriculums. I ignore the gloom and doom naysayers. They said the same thing in the 50s, in the 60s, in the 70s. But the difference is today we’ve entered a period of strategic adaption; where those who are smart, strategic, innovative and yes, hard working with ambition have never done better. And isn’t that what we wanted capitalism to be? I think so.

With a race between Biden and Trump likely, voters are concerned about the economy then its a no brainer for Joe Biden the economy is back under Joe, it went down under Trump and Trump never did anything to increase the economy, when he came into the white house, he inherited a great economy left by President Obama who also won the Nobel peace prize

Everything i disagree with is woke, communist or socialist. Europe is far more left than the US and they isnt one socialist country. Do you actually know what these terms mean? In a communist country is no free market. Europe has a free market economy they just regulate it if it doesnt increase consumer welfare. Every economist agrees that regulating economies can increase welfare.
