Contempt of Court has nothing to do with the type of Court. It isn't an offence it's a breach of a Court Order. He was told not to show a video by the Court but he went ahead and did it. He broke the Court Order. He was then summoned for the breach but fled the country. He was now a fugitive to the law and a warrant for his arrest was issued. Not for the original charge but for the breach. So now, not only has he breached the Court Order but he has also failed to appear to answer for the Contempt AND fled the jurisdiction of the Court. Robinson showed complete contempt for the judicial process and left the judge with no option. The fact that he is in a Category A prison is because he himself asked to be out into solitary confinement for his own safety. It's mostly Cat.A prisons that have these facilities so that's where he ended up. He is not a political prisoner. That's just a 'romantic' notion of his own. He has not been imprisoned for his political beliefs but because he can't comply with the law as it stands and that's his own fault!

He should never have been placed in a maximum security prison, he should have been put in an open prison like civil offenders usually are. As a US citizen, I think Trump should distance himself from Elon because of his stance on H1B visas. That is not America First. As to the Reform Party, why do you have to disparage Tommy R? Agreed. I can't understand why he's made that a hill to die on. If he really only wants to get the top 0.1% of engineering talent than he should of just agreed with folk that H1B visas have simply been used to import cheap labour and that that needs to stop, but that a new elite only program which can't be used to undermine Americans would be needed. Maybe that wouldn't have worked for everyone, but I suspect it might have placated many.
