I agree, the lip vibrato in my opinion was more natural sounding. That's wild that you also play a Yamaha flugelhorn. I played the Yamaha YFH-635T flugelhorn, it was a great Horn and it has a third valve trigger, but then I tried my friends Antoine Courtois 154R flugelhorn which has a wider bell and I fell in love with it. Consequently I traded one of my box try various trumpets for it and I still have it. Best always, John

Beautifully done, I also love your tone on flugelhorn. I noticed that you're beautiful vibrato is produced with your lips, the same as I do. I don't know why, but I could never get used to producing the vibrato with my hand. What equipment are you playing on, Let me know. Thanks your friend John Stefan

Many thanks🙏 Indeed, lips vibrato seems to me more natural, like when you sing. Shaking the instrument with your hand seems to "mechanical" for me. To your question, my flugelhorn is Yamaha YFH-731. I love it except for the lack of 3rd valve moving slide.
