Wow thanks Pete, appreciate the kind words. I'm trying to wrap my head around a new Lotus trumpet that I just got. Still trying to find the right mouthpiece for it but it is a Great Horn. Great to see you on the channel family

Harry "Sweets" Edison hit the soul for me on "Used to be Basie." What a swinging tone that man sang.

A Time for Love, one of my favorites. Your absolutely right about imitation, I've gone through phases where I imitated everybody, but I always come back to Miles and Wallace. Sometimes I try to get to Trane and Wayne.

Great stuff. I'm at my best when I have a sensation of singing through the horn. I often get distracted and caught up in the changes or technical aspects of playing and forget that singing through the horn should really be the goal. Great to be reminded to work on a vocal approach to tone.
