Hello Sumit, I've watched all 41 power query training videos and learnt a lot. Just want to say that your videos are very clear to understand and well structured, probably the best training videos I've come across on youtube. These videos were uploaded about 4 years ago, but are still so relevant today and helpful for those struggling to figure out how to use power query. A very big thanks, this will definitely help me to be more productive at work. 🙌

July 2024 -- I finished all 41 videos in this PQ course. Imo, it's among the very best courses I've ever taken in my entire life. This course is very well-structured in the form of short videos which emphasize a single aspect of PQ. By the time I was done, I won't say I'm an expert, but I have an excellent understanding of PQ. Everything is well-explained. There is a practice file for every video (except #40). I took extensive notes. If I want to review a concept, it's easy to find the concept and the file and practice it again. Sumit Bansal has a nice voice, good pacing, and doesn't meander. The emphasis is entirely on the content with no irritating picture-in-picture or gimmicks. The course is 4 yrs old as of this date and is still as relevant today as the day it was produced. Less than a handful of things were different in my newer version of PQ, and it was easy to figure out and carry on. This is all available for free and for some of the best teaching available. Ten gold stars to Sumit Bansal, the talented instructor & creator of the course.

Hi Sumit Bansal, Had seen all the 41 videos of this power query play list, all are well explained in detail, thanks for your time and effort in creating this kind of a very useful playlist. One request, is it possible for you to create a playlist for POWER PIVOT with DAX FORMULAS from basic to advanced as after completing Power Query, we have to learn DAX, then only we can get in to Power BI, I think. This is my humble view and request. If possible please upload, else ok. Anyways, thanks for your contribution to Excel and its allied subjects, May God bless you with good health and happiness always. Stay Safe and Stay Healthy. Thanks

This is super impressive. I have one question though - my source data in excel is connected to an online application. When I click on refresh button every month it refreshes my data with live status as at that moment on the application. Now, if I create power query out of my source data, and load data sheet from power query into same workbook, will my power query data be also refreshed whenever I refresh my source data? Pls reply.

What is the best way to update the records in the source table/sheet directly form the Power Query ( like, adding records, deleting a record, editing,.....). Can we make a column properties ( one or more columns) a Hyperlink that be clicking it, a custom data entry form be opened to add, deleted or update the record/s in the source tables?

you can still save your file as xlsx even though you have vba script? is macro-enabled worksheet can run under file type xlsx???

Thanks for this and I was wondering if you can automate refreshing multiple excel documents. I.e. I update all my source files and then I run one "parent" query (using PQ), save and close it and then open another, reliant on the previous parent document, and run another query here. Then I have multiple "child-like" queries that I run separately as they feed off these initially refreshed queries (parents). Point being, is there a way to automate this entire process instead of manually opening each document and running the queries manually? I would suppose one could combine refresh on opening the "child' documents but can one manipulate it so that the "parent" document/s are first completed, one after the other, in order and then the children opened and set to update on opening?

Hi sir, thank you for your videos, which is vary helpfull, i have one challange.. everyday i have to send the cdr (calls count) report every hour, i have tried with power query but the problem is wen ever i replace the data in table the power query piot counting histry(yesturday) count also need help on this plz
@jodhvirsingh86774 жыл бұрын
Hello Apsar. I think you would need to make 2 tables (since you need two days data). Table 1 contains todays data and Table 2 contains yesterdays data. Now tomorrow your data needs to shift from table 1 to 2 and new data needs to be added to Table 1. What you can do is record a macro for this and then erase all the hardcoded elements in the vba. Then when you refresh the data your table 1 data would go automatically to table 2 and new data would get entered in table 2. Then refresh the pivot table. Hope it helps.
