These opponents ... Opponent 1: Turn 1 wisp murloc. Opponent 2: Turn 1 missiles to the face. Opponent 3: Trades his big minions for small ones without reason and leaves the game in the middle. Opponent 4: Deadly poison dagger to the face. WTF am I watching? And why dont i get these opponents?

Game 4, no need to topdeck damage spells, Trump have lethal, put flametongue between minion 1 2, attack, bounce with brewmaster and put that flametongue between minion 3 4, there's ur extra 4 dmg.

Nah, mages and paladins. Mages have incredible commons and paladins have fantastic 4 drops(for comparison, hammer of wrath is one of the weaker paladin 4 drops.

True, but out of most arena runs I have seen, Shamans tend to maximize value on non-class cards. Mages and Pallys may be the best class, but Shamans have the best card synergy.

Yes Totems boost Defender of Argus, Stormwind Champion, shattered sun, and Dark Iron Dwarf, but The same can be said for Paladin. Shamans can get good value out of the healing and taunt totems, but you may not get it when you need it. I still believe that Mage, Druid, and Rogue are the most consistent. Being able to deal 1 damage has just too much benefit, particularly with crap like Scarlet Crusader, Harvest Golem, Sunwalker, etc. It allows you to trade up and keep the better value while other classes often have to 2 for 1 because a minion has 1 hp leftover.

24:40 I very often play coin totem into flametongue totem on turn 2 and I works out pretty well for me. Depends on the class tho. For sure against a Warlock. They mostly play Zoo and I want to have stuff on the board to deal with their stuff.

You know you're doing well when you forget to play around Deathwing. When I played shaman in a past arena with a full board on my side and the opponent played Deathwing, it was pretty close but I managed to win anyways. Met a priest in constructed at the lower ranks who played Deathwing against me in another match too. Have to wonder what kind of decks Deathwing really fits in. Control vs Control maybe? Or maybe one of those alarm-o-bot decks. hmm

So much disrespect for Windspeaker. The turtle synergizes nicely with flametongue totem, but Windspeaker gives you the windfury spell without having to commit to that risky card. At worst you're overpaying 1 mana for a 3/3 which isn't a total disaster, and at best you're giving fire elemental or some other big guy windfury and either killing two guys or winning the game with it. I almost never pick the turtle nowadays since I've had it get killed by Kodo too many times.

hearthhead, it's an awesome site for beginners. look up a good basic constructed shaman deck, and play it against every other class on practice top to bottom. Then move to play mode and start developing strategies you see working and tweek your deck to be your own style. Do NOT look up shaman strategies for a while, just take time to develop an understanding on your own. Doing this will help you recognize beginner's common mistakes and avoid them. (these cause over 50% of losses early on)

Stupid to choose the unbound elemental over the forked lightning when he already has 2 elementals.. He could have gotten the extra overload.

Trump prefers minions over spells. It suits his playstyle better.

It doesn't matter so much in Arena. A 2/4 for 3 is still good even without overload, and in Arena the extra guy can be alot more useful than removal. On your logic the Forked Lightning would have to be played sometime after turn three. If Unbound Elemental is played on turn three and Forked Lightning is viable on turn 4, then you are left with a 3/5 and 3 mana on turn five, assuming the Unbound Elemental hasn't been dealt with (removed/silenced). Forked lightning gets alot less effective in the later stages of a match and combo-ing it with an Unbound Elemental later on becomes means to make the play less weak rather than being a solid play that will affect the board. Forked Lightning is a weak card in arena. It doesn't work as early removal because of it's steep overload cost, and late game it has no punch, you also do not get to pick your targets. Unbound/Stormforged Axe is a much more solid play and Trump picked 2 of those. Picking a Forked Lightning because it may have a situational +1/+1 buff attached is a weak reason, and will often hurt any deck when if it starts to make a deep run.
