Trunk lid emergency release Mini Cooper S

Hello MiniManiacs!
Your battery is empty or much worse! it has given up the ghost!?
Or due to corrosion, the button in the handle is without function!
How do you get to the battery of your MINI Cooper S?
In this very short video I want to show you how to open your tailgate via emergency release in the interior without using tools or other special stuff.
Nevertheless a small hint:
Unfortunately, the MINIs until about mid 2002 have not yet installed this emergency release and worst case you need help from a professional (can also be opened via tester!).
As always, I give you the necessary tools and torques as well as tips and tricks along the way.

This emergency trunk release pull was removed for the F55/F56 models. This only works for the R series.

Hallo :) ich habe zwar keine Sport Version, aber bei mir funktioniert die Öffnung des Kofferraums meines Mini Cooper Cabriolets auch über die rechte Taste des Schlüssels (die mit dem Heckklappen-Symbol). Man muss sie lediglich zwei Sekunden gedrückt halten. Lg

Servus! Das Cabrio ist hier ein Sonderfall. Thema ist aber, was passiert, wenn die Batterie beim R52 leer ist? Da bringt einem ein drücken der Taste für 2sec. sicherlich nichts und die Heckklappe bleibt zu. Werde mir mal ein Cabrio dazu einladen. Sascha

Hallo! Bin neu auf deinem Kanal und finde deine Videos echt klasse! Gerade das Problem mit dem defekten Taster tritt ja öfter auf. Wie wärs mit einem Anleitungsvideo zum Nachrüsten der Notentriegelung für die frühen Modelle?
