I'm in the background of that shot, several days of prep for that shot. The truss was brand new and sacrificial, ditto the staging underneath. The parcans were empty shells.

MTFXlimited But such a clickbait title. Expected a "how not to secure a truss" educational video of an actual unintended collapse, not a fake collapse stage effect (which I feel is like shouting "fire" in a crowded theatre unless done at a closed set and not broadcast as if live or real).

It was intentional, it’s an SFX gag. Every aspect involved is designed to be sacrificial and fall on cue. Not much different to the Phantom chandelier falling, only this doesn’t have to happen 8 times a week 😂

it is, Casualty is a long running ( I think it turns 30 this year) British Hospital A+E (accident and emergency) Ward based drama/soap. This would've been a scene causing a multiple accident episode/storyline
