Jocelyn was born with flexible body and joints and fibromyalgia which make her have persistent, widespread body pain. This disorders also cause fatigue, anxiety, depression and sleep difficulty.
When she was in the 3rd grade , she had to wear a crutch for 24 hours in a day for 6 months due to the scoliosis which was very upsetting for a little girl at her age. She couldn’t play tag with friends and the crutch was heavy and very uncomfortable. Many people thought her leg was broken and she hated the fact that she was abnormal.
At Junior High School, a doctor told her that she had the potential to do ballet because of her laxity which then changed her life. She then became more confident. However, the pains don’t want to leave her. Next she was diagnosed with Marfan Syndrome which leads her to many diagnoses because of having loose ligaments that can injure her.
Now she is at Senior High School and her condition is not getting better now. Being stricken by the severe pains, it’s so much struggle to undergo school and daily activities normally. However, the love of God in Jesus Christ is her strength and she wants to continue praising Him and be a blessing no matter what.
This song has been a blessing and strength for her so that she would like everybody who has been struggling with turmoil of lives: sickness, anguish, desperation, disappointment, stress and depression find that “God is too wise too be mistaken" and that "He is too good to be unkind” though very often in such condition we question God’s presence, love, care, mercy, and grace. We demand God in His sovereignty in this world and our lives so that we are kept away from suffering.
This video is the 1st project of our collaboration. We are not great singers nor musicians but we would like to maximize what we have despite our physical health beings. The core of this project is to motivate Jocelyn in her struggle with her sickness.
