I see "share your settings" in every comment section. He is giving us all the ingredients it's on us to spice it how we like. Keep chasing the tone.

Can you share with us the sweet spot settings of your overdrives? I dig your tone, man.
@IvanXavier11 ай бұрын
Hey thanks for watching! I wouldn't say that there is a "sweet spot" but that it's really up to what you think sounds good and what you like. What I like to do is get a base clean tone with no pedals on that is slightly over driven or, "at the edge of break up" as a lot of people say, and just add more layers of overdrive once you kick in the actual overdrive pedals. Trial and error is key!

@@IvanXavier When adding the layers of overdrive, do you like to alter the amp tone a little bit or you're preserving the amp's tone as much as you can?
@IvanXavier10 ай бұрын
My amps are dialed to breakup the more I push the amp. So when I kick on an overdrive most of the drive is coming from the pedal but the amp is also producing some drive.

How do you record the in ear track?
@IvanXavier11 ай бұрын
I am using a Focusrite interface to record. I connect my ME-1 mixer which is recording the band and then I plug my guitar into the interface separately to record my guitar signal. Hope this helps!

What are your OCD settings??
@JunHo_Kim11 ай бұрын
It's not exact, but it seems like Ivan uses OCD as a clean booster. I recommend low gain mode, volume and gain amount set to 50-70% and 0-10%, respectively, and the tone according to your taste.
@IvanXavier11 ай бұрын
@junHo_Kim is on the right track. When it comes to the OCD, its my first stage drive so I want it to add a slight boost and just a little more overdrive to my clean tone when I turn it on. I have the tone knob at around 2 o'clock right now (this changes depending on the guitar Im using). I have the drive knob at about 7 o'clock (6 o'clock being zero drive). And for the volume knob, I have this at about 3 o'clock. Hope this helps!
