As a child I was doing "The Bird" flapping my wings back in 1985 listening to Morris Day and The Time song "The Bird" but had not come to be saved and know God yet, nor put him first in my life's decisions. While we don't pray for a past that's gone, and sometimes uncomfortable in the present, it's important to remember with God we can soar on our wings (Isaiah 40:31) but also important to find comfort knowing that if God trims your wings like a bird you cannot fly away or only a very short distance, and if just one wing is trimmed you fly in circles. Thus if you are doing all the right things, reading the Bible, praying with a genuine heart, being patient waiting on God, and when God speaks, acting on his instructions, walking by Faith (not self) in obedience, and if you (self) cannot fly then God's telling you your not ready, or on the wrong flight path, if your flying in circles perhaps he wants you to circle being watchful over others, or repeating circles to understand his instructions, or he's testing your discipline and consistency in your small circle before he widens that circle, as if you flap your untested wings of "self" and fly to close to the sun or think you can first fly across the sea it only ends in failure. Always trust God and trust that "your" wings are yours for a "purpose", and that purpose is to spread God's word and bring others to God. Not my will, but God thy will be done. Amen 😊
