The problem is simple. These dudes are doing styles of rap we have all heard done FAR better. He is doing drug rap/boom bap..and there are 1000 dudes that did that before him..and so much better. People connect to ORIGINALITY. Mumble rap is not “Talent”..but it is UNIQUE. This, that he is doing..is not unique. He is revisiting tropes and styles he heard others do better than he could ever imagine..because they were FIRST. These dudes really need to take heed to what I just typed. BE UNIQUE.
