I'm in the same situation. And decided to choose the Oppo over the OnePlus. I like the camera colours more on the Oppo and the battery is in my opinion a little bit better. And I got it 100 Euro less than the OnePlus. But maybe I will miss the OnePlus fingerprint sensor.

@nawmsayin80178 күн бұрын
@@Idan_K It's not anything performance related. It's about the price and also placement. The optical scanner is placed far higher and makes it really comfortable to use, almost second nature when you pick up the phone, on the other hand the optical scanners come even on really cheap phones and the placement is really downwards making it quite cumbersome to use, almost 200-300 times a day, everytime you need to unlock your phone.

Note for the camera zoom focus on the oneplus, this has been fixed in an update a few days ago. Theres big improvements on the camera as a whole.

The higher resolution is not only to increase pixel density mate, it also affects the amount of content that can be shown on the screen. Browser pages show much more information on qHD than on FHD+.

OPPO'S video quality is a bit better but I think having a short focal optical fingerprint sensor at the price of the OPPO is ridiculous. Even if the decided to save costs and not give an ultrasonic one they should at least not use a short focal one

I live in North America so, this isn't a big decision. Oppo phones aren't available here. Moreover, they're not whitelisted by our carriers. They've always been a regional brand and only operate in certain parts of the world. On the other hand, OnePlus devices are readily available in North america. Furthermore, they are a global brand. To that end, there's no compatibility issues with our carriers.

You can use the Oppo with all carriers in the USA as the phone supports the same bands as the OnePlus 13. How do I know? I'm typing on it right now!
@dr.fitprofessor19709 күн бұрын
@MichaelRichards983 I tried that with an Oppo find x 6. My carrier blocked my usage of it. Factually, it's not whitelisted. Thanks for the reply.
@Polemusk9 күн бұрын
@@dr.fitprofessor1970How can carriers block your phone from accessing their network? It sounds anti-consumer malpractice, whitelisting is only needed when registering your sim card and we don't have any such bs here luckily.
@dr.fitprofessor19709 күн бұрын
@Polemusk they can tell which phones are on their network. Many times if they're not whitelisted they will shut down the Sim card. However, when the SIM card is placed into a compliant device it reactivates. Simple as that.

Im from Sydney Australia and have the Oppo Find X8 Pro because they don't sell the OnePlus 13 here and i much prefer the Snapdragon Chipset as there are issues with the Media Tek Dimensity 9400 chipset it doesn't work well with certain games like CSR2 Racing it has graphics issues in game lags and slower times which im not happy as i have had the phone replaced and still same issue with that. the rest is fine.

Appreciate the question. I think mostly it has to do with a couple of things. 1) I work all day, usually either editing/writing on my Mac so have LOTS of screen time on that. 2) Smartphones became more of a job than a thing I’m drawn to in my casual time so I welcome breaks from it outside of work hours. I did used to struggle with social media use but since I started reading books/Kindle every night - and since so many social media platforms aren’t what they used to be and make me depressed - that’s less of a problem too.

In The Netherlands the Oppo is actually a bit cheaper. I can get the Oneplus for 1050 (945 with student discount, Oppo doesn’t provide this option) and the Oppo for ~920, depending on the seller. If someone could share their opinion on these price differences and which one would have the most value, that would mean a lot to me! P.S. unfortunately, official accessories for the Oppo (charger, case etc.) are VERY hard to come by, Oneplus provides better support in this case.

Je kunt makkelijk via AliExpress bijv opladers en cases kopen. Het ligt er aan wat belangrijk is voor je. Camera's zijn net ietsjes beter op de Oppo. Is net even goedkoper ook.

Oppo clearly castrate OnePlus at the level of photo-video software processing, pff 🤦🏽♂️ If you want the best from Oppo/OnePlus, buy an Oppo Find X7 Ultra or wait for the Find X8 Ultra. Regarding the OnePlus 13, honestly, I only recommend OnePlus smartphones 3-6 months after their release, they lose an average of $200 or even $300 on their Msrp, at which point, they reach their true prices, the true value that Oppo gives them, that of high-mid-range 🤧 🚶🏽♂️ 🚶🏽♂️ 🚶🏽♂️
