I recently bought one, the reason behind my choice is the battery life and reduced cost. I am happy with its features, and honestly, I already have too many devices that have third-party apps installed on them, so I don't see it as a requirement for getting a watch.

if you want overkill stuff with things that you don't usually use and have lots of extra cash, buy garmin. But if you want something that has the things that you REALLY need, in my case, I'll go for GT 5 pro. For its price, it is a game changer.

I totally disagree. I used GT3 in the past. Yes, Huawei has more accurate OHR but it still lacks too much and can’t compete with a Garmin. And Epix Pro is not an overkill for me at all.

@@jacquardweave for the price, you can get two venu 3. The data from Garmin are good but overkill but good analysis to help you improve. But UI software is buggy with Bluetooth when earbud or car Bluetooth active and watch face needs to buy for each device and not for account. Battery last 2-3 days on Garmin everything on. Gt5 pro 5-7 days on max brightness, longer timeout and every sensor on always.

@@jacquardweave Huawei supports NFC cards for gate access and even for a car's NFC key. Garmin has a 1000USD watch that still can't do this.

Great review! Does the watch itself have GPS, In other words does it track your movements throughout your hike for instance. It leaves bread crumbs on your hike so you can use the track to find your way back to your destination. Or do you need to use an app on a cell phone to be able to follow your tack?

i think your wrong about the rest function, after using my gt5 pro titanium for 2 weeks nearly, it has calibrated so if one day i workout on did not train hard, it gives me rest day for some hour. But another day when i run 10km it calibrated my rest days for 3 days before i can start train again. It needs time and you have to do more workouts for it to get to know you heart and movments and workout for how and when you are fully rested.

I switched my galaxy watch ultra, for this one in titanium silver and i love it ! Very stylish good looking watch and i have to say huawei got great watch faces compare to this watch my galaxy watch ultra looks like a kids toy lol, only one thing which dissappoint me is that you cannot turn off gps or bluetooht manually on the watch, makes me think why huawei doesent have such a simple setting on the watch but apart from that it is a great watch

Good review, and one of the few which shows the problem with Huawei, even though I hoped they will change it with the GT5/ watch D2. They give you a million different data, but nothing which combines them, like Garmins Body Battery or training readiness. Even Samsung introduced now the energy score. With other words, you could put the Huawei watch for a few minutes on your wrist, do the Health glance and take the watch again off. Or for the training. That's all, there is no motivation to wear the watch 24/7 like with other Smartwatches. Huawei has clearly to change this, hopefully not first with the next generation.

Yeah, there's just that one little thing missing where it just needs to collate all its excellent data and translate it into something that's useful for learning about your own recovery/training readiness etc. Like the foundation is there, just needs a final flourish. Thanks for watching !😊

The ECG function is a Great one to have but Not much credit was given to it during the Video. I got the Fit3 several months ago and love it but Would love to Upgrade to this one

Just bought GT 5 Pro and I am really happy with my choice. I am nicely surprised of the improvements vs GT 2 Pro and definitely is more accurate than Samsung Watch 5 Pro.

It has speaker thats loud n clear and can answer whatsapp calls loud and clear....the golf function is also very good....the style also not too showy...it just fits me better than garmin or t rex3

That depends what you want from a smartwatch. Watch S10 will give you all your notifications, interacting with apps, contactless payments and better integration with your iPhone. Huawei Watch will give you better, more thorough fitness data, and much longer battery life.

I bought the gt5 pro,but i cannot get the blood pressure to work at all.. I have reset the Health App and the watch numerous times to no avail. Everything else works perfectly.

Blood pressure is only measured with the huawei watch that has an inflatable watch strap. D2 or what it's called. This part in the app is for data if you have a separate device you can measure with. Like you can also register your weight and height without the watch being able to measure it.

This watch has a major problem with connecting with an iPhone ! Specially when iPhone Bluetooth are connected with the Huwaei watch , AirPods and car Bluetooth it is a mess ! Bluetooth will keep disconnecting all the time !

That's correct, do not use it on IOS. I have a GT 2 Pro which worked fine on a Samsung S21FE. However on a Iphone (2022) it kept disconnecting. Now on my new phone (Pixel 6 Pro) it works great again Somehow Apple is making this device less stable on IOS. (to promoot their on watches)
