It is so hard to see the hand of God when going through such crushing but I pray that we always remember that it works out for His good! I lost my sister and it was so hard to see His hand during that time but my whole life changed after that, I got sober because of the pain and my spiritual life keeps growing and I know I will see her again because I know where she is but I wouldn't have if I kept the way I was. Thank you for posting this and yes, when it comes to prayer, one thing that is true is that the Lord wants you to tell Him your desires and plans, but sometimes, those plans are frustrated, resulting in His answer being "no." When that happens, it means that He has something better for you and the ultimate example of this is in the garden of Gethsemane, just before Jesus Himself suffered and died on that old rugged cross for sinners like you and me, He pleaded three times with His Father to let the cup pass from Him, but the answer was "no" and in response, He prayed "not my will, but Yours be done. Three days after His burial, He rose again from the dead and was given the name that is above all names.

What I see in this is amazing.. his WHY. His original WHY, was to help his family, to get them into a better place, to provide for them. He was living it, he was actually living and working towards his WHY in life. He understood what it really was and most people don’t know what there WHY is in life. For his life to basically be stripped away, and having left feeling hopeless he had to find a new WHY in life. And he’s living it again. Motivating and teaching people about the power of Christ, trust, and ultimately love. Love for who you are as a person and what life will bring you when you actually know yourself. Life isn’t about where you are going, for if you do not know yourself, you are always going to be lost.

I been knowing this for along time . I always say if God wants me to have it he will help me get it and if it's meant for me then I will have it . I might not get it when I want it sometimes it takes me years to get what I pray for or want . When I go through hard times I look at it as if God is testing me.
