As Jacob fled for his life from his father-in-law Laban, he was keenly of at least three things: his preservation was secured by the Lord, his provision was achieved by the Lord, and his path was ordained by the Lord. It was through hard times in Jacob’s life that he truly learned to trust in the faithfulness of God.
So also, in our lives we must become fully reliant upon the faithfulness of God. We must learn to recognize that God is faithful to preserve, sustain, and guide those who are His.
