My father told me four years when I ask him where did we come from he told me we're from IGALA my father is still alive, am from Olo in Ezeagu Enugu State and we have a community called Ogulogu Olo one of the community that make five Olo in Ezeagu Enugu state. I will like to know about what my father told moreover he is the chief priest in my community and he is still alive.

Igalas and igbos are neighbours and inseparable. Igbos in time past has helped in accommodating many kinds people and neighbours escaping from their ethic crisis because of the republican nature of the igbos. By the way, nwanosike is an igbo name too.

A very good and scholarly endeavor. The area of contention would be in the migratory pattern. Every logic of migration would naturally support the Igbo as center and outwards to the far-flung fringes, not the other way around, hence the overwhelming size differentials. I watched the chiefs in one of the meetings at the 'Ochi Igala's palace, everyone there looked Igbo. From body frame, complexion, nuances and even attire, Igbo was written all over them. Even their poises. Of all the groups listed as possible relations of Igbos, the Yorubas are the most unlikely. They're of the 'nilotic' stock. The Igbos are roundedly 'bantu', except, perhaps in intermarriages here and there.

I’m from Okpoto, Ishielu local government of Ebonyi state. We are not Igbos but we live together and inter marry ourselves. My question here is, is my okpoto which is Oring or Koring language as some call it different from Okpoto mentioned here as Igala. We also have the Ntezi and Effiom Someone enlighten me please..thanks

Research Ado and Idu who are Igbo migrants through western Nigeria. Igala is also Igbo that settled in that region. They are partly mixed by neighboring ethnicities.

Please,There are no indigenous Igala communities in Enugu State, Ndi Enugwu Mepu Anya Gi These communities claiming Igala ancestry are immigrants and not Indigenous The Igalas met the Igbos in Enugu State, and invaded The Enugu axis and probably established this community, but we fought back and chased the Igalas out of Enugu Their language was probably brought to Enugu due to conquest

I don't get their story, many of them answers ig o names butspeaks igala,which mean they are igbos who emigrated to that land not not the other way round, from what I perceived here ,these are igbos ,who emigrated out there and was influenced by other cultures and languages, so for me they are telling g the story the other way round .

Igala is not older than igbos,they are j7st one of the sons of Eri,so their story doesn't fit, languages maybe same cos trade, marriages,make two culture learn each others language,and economy, One thing my research shows me is that the Igalas are one of the children of Eri, and they emigrated out , influenced by other culture , language and religion, every other of this stories doesn't make sense cos they are tslling it upside down.
