What are you going to do with a thank you card... it's something you're going to toss and adds no value besides being recycled.

Ssense is pretty much my go to for buying designer in Canada. The return process is really simple and has never been a hassle even when returning final sale items. I will say this involving the price discrepancy, for that particular Ami sweater that is more or less on Ami for the price increase rather then Ssense. Both the exact same item but the cheaper one is from a previous Ami season where the retail was around that price. Current season that same sweater will retail in the 700 CAD range not just on Ssense. Noticed the same deal for a lot of other brands too.

It’s not just them a lot of companies have changed the prices leading up to Black Friday and then applying a “discount “ during the sale so that it seems like you are getting a better deal. After the sale the item either goes back down to it’s before price or is now sold at this new high price. Club Monaco has also done this. Ssense sometimes also sells things at a higher price than the designer themselves does.

100% it’s not just them. I’ve actually found it happen on Amazon too lol.

I have been shopping SSENSE since about 2007. Always a good experience. They ship quickly to NYC too. Usually about 2-3 days. Returning is free and easy too. I’ve spent many thousands of dollars there. Mr Porter is more of a boutique. MP has nowhere near the amount of items that SSENSE has. The price “discrepancies” as you say are because they are from two different seasons usually.

It seems like SSENSE doesn’t “restock” (most) products. So the duplicate items are really just a reissue that is given a new listing, likely from a new season. This affects the price since the older a product, the deeper the discount. That’s why you’ll often see another of the same item for much cheaper but there’s only one size left. I buy from them often, but that’s my guess, anyway.

Interesting, I’m not entirely sure but very suspect. Given the new listed price is much higher for certain items

Could it also be based on previous sales/ popularity?

SSENSE shipping (to Canada) has usually been 2 business days for me (maybe max 3 days once). Do you live in BC by any chance? I think it's much faster if you live in Ontario.

Yes I live in BC maybe that’s why it’s faster in Ontario

They up the price as u say is because all goods r base on usd and if usd price goes up it will affect the item cost. Also all goods r purchased a season ahead so it depends usd during that time
@VictorTsui11 ай бұрын
That’s interesting given that they’re a Canadian company

Yes even tho they r Canadian co but when you purchase items from brands they r not in cdn funds. No different compared to luxury watch stores that sells rolex , ap and so on. Those r purchase in euro funds always and it don't matter where your co is located.

FYI cdn is not a recognized currency in world

Over my dead body. They flushed years of hard work, creativity and friendships down the drain with no notice when they shut down Polyvore. Unforgivable.

Returns are rubbish if you’re not from canada. You basically have to cover the shipping back to canada.

Needles makes mens clothes. I saw an item they put on a female model and it was cheaper than the male model, so I bought the female model and turns out I was right, it’s the same thing, but different prices LOL. We have to be observant shoppers because SSense is trying to make as much money as possible just like anyone else.
