Good luck on your relocation! I hope you take "us" with you and keep "us" up to date with all of your happenings! I'm sure the majority of your trips will be out of JFK but don't discount the Jersey Shore. It's a pretty cool place but would be a PITA to get to JFK, at times. Wouldn't think you have many trip options out of EWR. Can't wait for the next update! Good luck guys!!

But you know what Jordan, don’t waste your life worrying and putting things off, -that’s what I learnt after I was hit by a drunk driver and had 20 odd years of my life destroyed, life is precious, it’s so short, so JUST DO IT!! I’ve told you before that NY is my fave place ON EARTH, -but living in South Australia, it’s a pain in arse (in both time and cost!) to get there!! Jojo we are the SAME. I live it at home to not pay rent, and then I work every other month to travel abroad for 3-4 weeks at a time ❤️ there’s just NO WAY we should spend all our money on rent. I will however be staying in hostels and not hotels hahah. Im so happy for you - you are glowing. Literally haha

Jordan, I figure how you feel about NOT getting back to your former LAX base (now I know the reason as well), but sooner or later, maybe in 2-3 years instead of the 6 months I thought recently, buy YOU'LL BE BAACK to LAX, probably to "set roots". I sold everything last May and moved into a small apartment in Austin. My circumstances are a bit different than yours and hubby. My wife passed away and I sold our house in Austin along with all but a few things like a bed and a little furniture. I planned to travel but I am afraid to travel alone. I am half Swedish and would love to live there for a few months but am not as courageous as you and Marcus. I will have my adventure through you and your love. 😂

New York is so big that you can probably find 2 weeks of in-home pet /house/apt sitting gifs so you can live rent free for 2weeks, then get a local storage unit to keep all your clothes and stuff you want to keep. Manny F.

Years ago, we sold everything to leave the NYC rat race and relocate to Clearwater FL - the rat race eventually followed us and we’re looking at Mexico or elsewhere South and warmer for our next adventure. We had to leave our corporate jobs - thank goodness your job and whatever Marcus does are transferable anywhere. Your both doing the smart thing - living life on your own terms - welcome to the 1%’ers who have the chutzpah to do what you two are doing! By the way, we’re in our 70’s! LOL 👏🌹

Kacey Cassady, another flight attendant KZbinr, got in big trouble from American Airlines for posting a KZbin video of her parents flying on her pass after being exposed to Covid. She had to delete that video and she cannot show herself in the American Airlines uniform on YT. Other American Airlines employees might be distancing themselves from Kacey.

New York is a wonderful place to live. Be it it’s expensive. It’s full of culture. The best restaurants. Broadway plays. People. Shopping. Close to some of the best beaches. There are pluses and minuses anywhere you go. I’m a life long New Yorker. It has plenty to offer.

Life long Queens, NY native. Be very careful. Crime is out of control compared to just 5 years ago. Random car jackings, street robberies at gun point, etc, etc. In every neighborhood good or bad. Back in the old days, you could avoid crime in NYC easily. Nowadays you can't. Most FA's gravitate to Queens in the Kew Garden/Forest HIlls areas. Not bad. Also Astoria is decent. Lots to do. But again, crime is on the rise in those places and most criminals can spot "out of towners" quite easy. You may want to consider more "family" oriented areas East of LGA like North Flushing, Bayside (great area), Douglaston, Little Neck, Auburndale and Fresh Meadows. Most people born/raised in Queens live in those areas to avoid trouble. DO NOT LIVE IN BROOKLYN/MANHATTAN/BRONX. And get yourself a car so you can drive out to Long Island and enjoy the beaches in the Summer. And NEVER TAKE THE SUBWAY AT NIGHT.
