I had a minister who was a clearance diver in the RCN starting in the mid 1950's until he retired in the early 1980's. He used to keep his old diving helmet in his office and one day he let us kids the church's youth group put it on. He never talked about what he did, just that he was a diver in the navy, but in his obituary, he died in 2006, it specified he was a clearance diver. This just popped into my head so I've been looking at videos about what this role entails.

Do Navy SEALs undergo this kind of training as well ?
@nikolai36204 жыл бұрын
No, they have a more introductory course towards diving as their training encompasses other things.

The Naval seal training is not harder than this.
@tombradyshow12227 ай бұрын
@@GoodEvenings nope its much harder and completley different. They specialize more in combat BUDS is just the dfirst par, they dont even get thiwr tridents u til after SQT. Im confident youre nit in rhe forces ir ever have been so as a civilian youre in no postion to comment like most of the keyboard warriors .
