Pentingnya perjumpaan pribadi dengan Tuhan sebagai kunci untuk mengalami kesucian dan kehidupan yang benar ditekankan dalam pembelajaran ini. Banyak orang, meskipun terlatih secara akademis dan memiliki pemahaman teologi yang baik, tetap tidak merasakan hadirat Allah karena kurangnya komitmen untuk mati terhadap diri sendiri. Perjumpaan yang sejati dengan Tuhan akan membawa perubahan yang mendalam, mengurangi ketertarikan pada dunia, dan meningkatkan kerinduan akan kasih-Nya. Doa dipandang bukan hanya sebagai ritual, tetapi pencarian tulus untuk menemukan kehadiran Tuhan. Jika para pengajar dan mahasiswa di sekolah teologi tidak mengalami hal ini, mereka akan menghasilkan lulusan yang hanya berfokus pada pengetahuan tanpa kedalaman spiritual.
