one of the things I love the most about his magic pranks is when he is doing it in steps. the person standing infornt of him is dropping his jaw twice or more. and it's super fun for us the viewers as well. love it

It is also the reason together with Michaels explanations why you start believing what you see.. You see something you initially know that it can't be real. That when your brain start to make sense of it all. Suggestive explainationals combined with some basic scientific knowledge, you brain start to accepts what it sees. I believe in the early 1900's there was a scientist that made glasses which would make you see things upside down. But only for 3 days. After 3 days you're brain is accommodated and you see things normal again. Until you'd take of the glasses, than the world is upside down again. Again, for 3 days.. But it also sometimes goes the other way. You know that red glowing coals are hot. So, when someone asks you to walk over them with your bare feet, you're first instinct is that you would burn you're feet. Of course if you walk fast enough, the contact time isn't long enough to really transfer the heat..
