Holy crap this reminds me of a prank I pulled on my dad that he still laughs at / gets angry about. I was like 15 or 16 years old, my dad had just had our carpets cleaned in the house and paid a lot for it. I could tell it was stressing him out. We also just got 2 new cats a few weeks prior.. and they were actually great. Never peed outside the box once. But one day on his way home from my work, my dad texted me something like "How are the cats, and is the carpet looking good?" - All I replied was: *"There is just poop. Everywhere."* He sped home and slammed open the front door, and went running looking for the mess before I yelled IT WAS A JOKE! He yelled at me as I was laughing. I think even he knew it was a good one. I didn't think he would take it so seriously! Thank you for bringing back a hilarious memory. My stomach hurt from laughing that day. Sorry dad.
