TRX-4 Hardbody Build - JEEP CHEROKEE | RCMART - RC Trailblazer

Here is my run down of this rebuilt Traxxas TRX4 bronco.

Yeah she is a great looking Cherokee brother. Red really does show up great for a color ona rig. I got a red Cherokee as well. And it just shows up so well in video. Thanks for sharing bud and another thumbs up from me.. :)

Great little Jeep. Looks like it rips through the snow really well. I always prefer rubber mirrors for just that reason. Rollovers are inevitable. :)

“My trick rc” has some square SMD LED Headlights that can be used full brightness, all leds on. Would need DG-1 controller to run lights. Totally worth. I have Ebay roof light bar, headlights, parking lights, rock lights, bumper spot lights all run off DG-1

What did you paint the fenders with..they are made of some flex rubber so does the paint hold up.

It didn’t hold up buddy. I tried working with a primer and a flex paint but it came off eventually. Dang eh!

Really nice cherokee build. I'm currently working on that same body in the 12.8 on a gen8 chassis. May I ask what brand paint you used that came out nice?

Thank you buddy! Glad you like it. I love this rig, by far my favourite out of the fleet at the moment. But I just used a Homedepo paint. I used a primer and gave it about three coats. I will say the rubber fenders don’t really hold up to the flexing of the truck, I’ve seen some flaking on them. But the body it self has held out well. I don’t usually spend a lot on my paint as the rugs take a bit of abuse. So I stick to the rattle cans from the hardware stores. :D Have a great day pal! 👊🤠

Great question! Yes I had to take off about a quarter inch of all the wheel wells to make it fit.

Is the paint holding up on the rubber fenders?

Yea good question. After a sanding then primer & about 6 coats of paint it’s falling off fast. I should have switched paints for doing just the fenders. I should have used a flexible paint on the fenders. 🙏
