It is a very local expression, but it is now used by a lot of Venezuelans around the country. The bad synonym equivalent to “na guará” is “NA GUEVONÁ!” 07:35 The Cocuy is made of a local agave plant. So, it´s a sort of Venezuelan tequila. The lady mentioned the chuchuguaza which is a different Amazonian plant. Maybe what she gave you was a mixed beverage. 8:40 You explaining the double meaning of “cachapera” was so funny and true. You have learned a lot! I hope you continue enjoying our country.

Very interesting videos. Thanks for sharing. I'm semi inspired. I'm the type of person to almost do what your doing but I imagine it took considerable planning and I'm not one to plan. I think in your position I would become very lonely after awhile and eventually become seduced by a local hottie and lose my focus. Bueno, como en cualquier parte del mundo, ¿no? Siempre es peligroso ir solo por un lugar que no conoces para nada, eso no es solo para Venezuela, y la actualidad de Venezuela más bien es que es más seguro que muchos países, la delincuencia migró, otros tuvieron que transformarse y rectificarse porque robar no era rentable en la crisis y se acostumbraron a trabajar, otros simplemente murieron abatidos por la propia gente que estaba harta de los atracos, aquí se vio mucho la justicia por mano propia, solo en mi pueblo hubieron más de 20 hampones muertos en una sola noche porque ya la gente estaba harta de ellos, salieron con bates y machetes y los liquidaron, los malandros tienen miedo de atracar en Venezuela porque puede que al día siguiente se vean rodeados y acribillados a palos, esa es una realidad actual en Venezuela.
